Southeastern Developmental Services (SDS) is a community-based non-profit organization that advocates for and with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) and serves them and their families. We work tirelessly to uphold our vision that every individual and family living with I/DD in the Southeast Colorado has access to the information, advocacy, and skills they need to support their full inclusion and participation in the community throughout their lifetimes.

Our decision making process is informed by comprehensive empirical studies and high quality data evaluation. We strive to build productive relationships and make a positive impact with all of our pursuits.
The Mission of Southeastern Developmental Services Inc. is to support individuals with developmental disabilities within their local communities, to assist in the person achieving their fullest potential for vocational and integrated living, and becoming an integral and responsible community citizen.
Here at Southeastern Developmental Services, we welcome and encourage people of all ages, races, ethnicities and nationalities. We understand that in a small rural community such as Lamar Colorado there are not many that understand and accept the diversity of its residents. For this reason, Southeastern Developmental Services is proud and honored to have this inclusion with both employees and the individuals that we provide services for.
