Southeastern Developmental Services (SDS) is a community-based nonprofit organization established in 1964 that advocates for and alongside people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) and serves them and their families. We work tirelessly to uphold our vision that every individual and family living with I/DD in Southeast Colorado has access to the information, advocacy, and skills they need to support their full inclusion and participation in the community throughout their lifetimes.
Here at Southeastern Developmental Services, we are driven by a single goal: to do our part in making the world a better place for all. Our decision-making process is informed by comprehensive empirical studies and high-quality data evaluation. We strive to build productive relationships and make a positive impact through all our endeavors.
The mission of Southeastern Developmental Services, Inc., is to support individuals with developmental disabilities in their local communities, helping them achieve their fullest potential in vocational opportunities and integrated living, while becoming integral and responsible members of their communities.
Here at Southeastern Developmental Services, we welcome and encourage people of all ages, races, ethnicities, and nationalities.
